In short

Kyle Knox is listed as conductor for two Madison Symphony Orchestra programs in Madison, Wisconsin: an October 2026 concert built around Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony, and a May 2027 screening of The Empire Strikes Back with the orchestra playing the film score live.

On the podium

The October program is a tour of seasons and nature. It pairs a short spring piece by Lili Boulanger with the autumn concerto from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, a spring tango by Piazzolla, and Hindemith's lively orchestral reworking of themes by Weber, before ending with Beethoven's Sixth, whose movements paint a country walk, a brook and a storm. The May concerts are different work: a conductor leading a film in concert has to keep the orchestra locked to the picture, so the music lands exactly with each scene.
