About the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra

The Johnson City Symphony Orchestra is a regional orchestra serving the Tri-Cities corner of northeast Tennessee, drawing on players from the region's colleges, schools and professional ranks. This season it performs at Seeger Memorial Chapel on the Milligan University campus in Johnson City, a large sanctuary-style room with a straightforward, resonant sound. The season is built around three classical programs, plus a holiday concert and a film night where the orchestra plays a score live while the movie runs. Noah Delong conducts this season's listed programs. Expect an unfussy, community-minded evening: audiences of families, students and longtime subscribers, easy parking on campus, and concerts that usually run under two hours.
