In short

Gary Lewis is listed as conductor for five West Texas Symphony performances in Midland, Texas, between October 2026 and February 2027. They range from a program of Respighi's Pines of Rome to holiday and Halloween concerts and a Beethoven Eroica program.

On the podium

At the October 3 concert the program includes Respighi's Pines of Rome, a showpiece that ends with an approaching Roman army heard from the back of the hall, and Falla's dance suite from a Spanish ballet. In February the program pairs Beethoven's Third Symphony, the Eroica, with a Dvorak serenade for winds. The seasonal concerts are lighter and built around holiday and Halloween favorites.
