About the Stamford Symphony

Stamford Symphony is a regional orchestra serving Fairfield County, Connecticut, with its main classical concerts at the Palace Theatre in downtown Stamford. The season also includes smaller chamber programs at venues around the region, from the Bruce Museum in Greenwich to historic churches in Norwalk, Stamford, and Darien, plus an occasional film-with-orchestra event. A first-timer can expect standard orchestral repertoire, symphonies and concertos alongside newer works, performed at a scale suited to the Palace Theatre's stage. The mix of classical and chamber offerings makes it easy to find either a full orchestral evening or a more intimate concert closer to home. Michael Stern leads the majority of this season's classical programs.
