About the New Philharmonic
New Philharmonic is the resident orchestra of the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, with some performances at the center's more intimate Belushi Performance Hall. It's a regional orchestra with a busy, varied season that mixes traditional classical programs with pops concerts, live film screenings paired with a full orchestral score, holiday programs, and choral works performed with area choirs. Kirk Muspratt conducts the bulk of this season's concerts. A first-timer can expect a comfortable, welcoming hall, approachable programming, and a mix of familiar favorites alongside less common repertoire, all within easy reach of the western Chicago suburbs.
